RALPH & RUSSO S/S 2017 GLAMOUR HAUTE COUTURE COLLECTION “THE NEW FEMININE ” – PARIS FASHION WEEK

Unveiled at The Grand Palais in Paris, the Spring/Summer 2017 Couture collection has officially landed.

Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo offered plenty of contemporary, urban daywear options, along with signature red carpet – worthy gowns.

Ralph & Russo presented a more contemporary, urban collection for spring than in seasons past, injecting their line with a range of playful daywear options.

These included dresses with geometric motifs like checks – such as a knee-length silk-zibeline suit with a wide belt and a tweed minidress with silk organza ruffled sleeves. A cropped top came with wide trousers, each trimmed with pearl and glass beads.

Of course, the brand’s core red carpet-worthy gowns still had a strong presence. There was Old Hollywood glamour channeled through a black tulle strapless gown appliquéd with silk organza and a white tulle ballgown with ruffle skirt. The black tulle cocktail number adorned with silk petals, glass beads and ostrich feathers, and the silver foil fringe-and-feather dress were lovely.

 Ralph & Russo;
” The Collection “The new feminine” , a seamless fusion of geometry, metallics, graphic florals and an underlying essence of athleticism; the Spring/Summer 2017 collection explores the coexistence of urban and natural spheres, interpreting contemporary femininity through its opposites.

Channeling the intersection between natural beauty and modern architecture, adornment is botanical; crystal pleated and foil fringed, synthesising the innate symmetry of nature with contemporary configurations. Lurex stitched San Gallo petals and slashed brush strokes of metallic ink add city hues to fresh garden tones of sky blue, powder pink, indigo and evergreen.

The reciprocal action of geometric lines, latex appliqué and the effortless ebb of frills, degradé ostrich feathers and diaphanous chiffon trains interconnect like longitudes and latitudes in homage to women all.”

I agree with their theory.

Each of us may look divine & each one of us is divine!

Do you agree with me?
