During last month’s New York Fashion Week, the top women’s designers from the United States, and from around the world, gathered to present their latest collections and collectively look forward to the season to come.

After attending the fashion week counterparts in London, we’re now looking back at our s showcased.favorite collections, each of them filled with a unique perspective, and of course, several covetable designs.

Let’s take, for instance, the Victoria Beckham , Jason Wu, Tom Ford, and Alexander Wang spring/summer 2018 runway shows.  They were so full of soon-to-be legendary fashions, it was almost impossible to keep track of them.

The Victoria Beckham, Jason Wu, Tom Ford, and Alexander Wang spring/ summer 2018 runway shows also share a few common patterns, which may surprise those who were not expecting these creative directors to take a different turn in their fashion paths.

The most interesting leitmotif you will notice is that, despite being significantly different from one another, the following designers all shared common inspirations behind their spring lineups, the outcomes of which are already rumored to be the upcoming spring’s must-have trends.

Here is what:

Victoria Beckham Spring/ Summer 2018 Collection.

Out of all these runway shows, Victoria Beckham’s was the most acclaimed. It has already received tons of positive feedbacks and, indeed, one could get positive towards the future just by looking at her spring 2018 collection.

Described by Victoria Beckham as a proof that “delicacy can be strong”, too, the Victoria Beckham spring/ summer 2018 collection overwhelmed NYFW with a plethora of pastel colors and delicate figures, the softness of which got enhanced by cute gingham patterns and flirty transparencies. Throughout the show, Beckham translated her lust for delicacy to coordinates and more businesswoman-approved ensembles as well, somehow managing to make them look both professional and casual at the same time.

Those who favor more casual colors such as black, white, and gray, will find the collection’s latest section extremely functional and satisfactory, while those who are looking for something funnier to play with, will particularly enjoy the collection’s second part, which focused on the same delicate figures yet revisited with more jocosely metallic materials.

Like all the other designers, Victoria Beckham toyed with the Eighties and the Nineties, too, though in a more mature, New York-inspired way.

Jason Wu Spring/ Summer 2018 Collection.

For this NYFW, designer Jason Wu decided to finally show his true colors.

“This is the first time in a long time I didn’t feel like I was playing catch-up”,

Wu declared before the show.

“It’s going to be easier than what you’ve seen from me. It’s getting more casual.”

But is it?

Extremely elegant although at the same time ready-to-wear indeed, Jason Wu’s spring 2018 proposals were quite experimental and, at times, deconstructed too, which might be synonymous with non-so-casual fashions for many future customers.

The overall collection was, however, something we yet had to see from Wu, although clear and appreciated old Jason Wu references were still palpable. Aside from the deconstructed pieces, Jason Wu’s spring 2018 runway show brought loungewear and Nineties-inspired proposals on stage, too, with the latest part of the collection focusing on spring-approved floral and flowy dresses instead.

Tom Ford Spring/ Summer 2018 Collection.

Nothing will probably ever stop Tom Ford’s sales, as the American fashion house is experiencing one of its biggest momenta ever. As a way to highlight his success, he invited his guests in a very special way, sending his invitation along with a bottle of his latest fragrance. Hitting it big either with the invitation or the actual show is definitely one of this NYFW’s prerogatives!

Inspired by his latest menswear spring 2018 collection, which was a global success, Tom Ford transposed his menswear leitmotivs to womenswear, focusing on tailored figures, structured shoulders, and the most refined materials available. Like Wu and Wang, he managed to capture the souls of both the Eighties and the Nineties, at times playing with them altogether, at times separately.

One thing is for sure – no one is ever going to forget these glorious metallic proposals. Also, if you loved this summer’s great variety of rich blue, orange and yellow-colored items, you will easily fall in love with the Tom Ford spring 2018 collection, too.

Alexander Wang Spring/ Summer 2018 Collection.

If it is not extreme, it is not Alexander Wang. The latest Alexander Wang spring 2018 ready-to-wear collection was a (literal) walking party, as he sent his models on a party bus along with a convoy of Ram Trucks.

His fashion show’s invitation read a bold #Wangfest, and it was not the only Wang -emblazoned statement we read throughout the runway.

With a surge of self-appreciation and lust for fun, Alexander Wang made himself the center of the attention while simultaneously throwing two parties open to the public. ( The first one was at Lafayette and Center Streets in Manhattan, the second was at Astor Place.)

Overall energetic and mostly inspired by the glorious Eighties (with a few Nineties-inspired accents here and there, too), the Alexander Wang spring 2018 collection was full of sultry cropped cuts and plunging V-necklines, as well as bold leather and glittery materials, which will surely give the party animals something to show off during the upcoming warmer months.

To top it all off, Wang deconstructed mannish suits and cute, casual-chic dresses as well, complementing the latest looks with rather peculiar headpieces. ( Of course, he gave Kendall Jenner the one with a huge “Wangover” statement emblazoned on the front.)

New York Fashion Week S/S 2018 is literally blooming with trends and iconic moments, and I’m already obsessed with most of the collection.

You too?

Which one collection you prefer?
